Empowering Caribbean Kids to Build Wealth—One Smart Decision at a Time
A fun, interactive digital platform and book series that teaches children ages 8–18 how to budget, save, invest, and plan for their future with confidence and joy.
What Is Money Divers?
Money Divers is a Caribbean-centered financial literacy program designed to help children develop strong, healthy money habits early in life. Through engaging storytelling, interactive games, digital activities, and real-life scenarios that reflect their world, kids learn the essential skills they need to build lasting financial confidence—and create the foundation for generational wealth that transforms families and communities.
This isn't just another financial education program. It's financial literacy that feels like home—culturally relevant, fun, and made specifically for Caribbean children. Every lesson, every story, every activity celebrates the islands while building the money skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
Why This Matters Now
Across the Caribbean, families and communities face ongoing financial pressure, mounting debt, and limited savings. The challenges are real, and they affect every aspect of life—from education opportunities to housing security to retirement planning. Research consistently shows that by age 14, many lifelong money habits are already firmly established, making early financial education not just helpful, but absolutely essential for breaking cycles of financial stress.

What Kids Will Learn
Money Divers covers six essential financial pillars, each designed to build confidence and competence in managing money. These aren't abstract concepts—they're practical, real-world skills that children can apply immediately in their daily lives, whether they're managing allowance, planning for a special purchase, or thinking about their future dreams and goals.
Understanding Money
The foundation begins here. Children explore the crucial difference between wants and needs, learn to make smart choices even when faced with appealing alternatives, and develop a clear understanding of how money functions in daily life—from grocery shopping to paying bills.
Income & Earning
Money doesn't appear magically. Kids discover where income comes from—whether through household chores, creative hobbies, school projects, entrepreneurial ideas, or helping in the community. They learn that earning creates opportunities and independence.
Smart Spending
Marketing and advertising are everywhere, especially online. Children learn to recognize influence tactics, compare prices effectively, think critically before purchasing, and avoid the trap of impulse buying that drains savings and creates regret.
Saving Like a Pro
Every dream needs a plan. Kids practice setting achievable goals, saving consistently toward those dreams, and understanding how compound interest helps their money grow over time—turning small deposits into significant achievements.
Budgeting Basics
Creating and managing a budget doesn't have to be complicated or boring. Children build simple, realistic budgets for real-life situations—allowance management, school activities, birthday parties, family outings, and personal goals that matter to them.
Introduction to Investing
Age-appropriate investment education demystifies growing wealth. Kids explore the relationship between risk and reward, discover simple investment tools available to beginners, and learn how small, consistent actions today create impressive results tomorrow.

About the Founder
Money Divers was created by Sonia Polius, a dedicated Caribbean business strategist and financial planner with years of experience improving financial literacy and resilience across the region. Her passion for this work comes from deeply personal observations and professional insights gained through countless client interactions.
After years of coaching small businesses and working closely with families struggling to prepare adequately for retirement, Sonia discovered one powerful, undeniable truth: By the time many adults seek financial guidance, patterns established in childhood have already created significant challenges.
"To change the future of Caribbean financial wellbeing, we must start with our children. We must teach them early, teach them well, and teach them through the lens of their own beautiful culture and community traditions."
Money Divers represents Sonia's unwavering commitment to building financially confident, empowered Caribbean youth who will grow into adults capable of creating generational wealth, supporting their families, strengthening their communities, and building resilient island economies. This isn't just a program—it's a movement toward regional economic transformation, one child at a time.
